Hojicha pudding with chia seeds
Hojicha pudding with chia seeds is a delicious and healthy dessert for the whole family.
Hojicha tea leaves are roasted in pans at a temperature of around 200 °C and immediately cooled. Roasting allows the caffeine to sublimate, making the tea less bitter. Thanks to its mild taste of roasted chestnuts and cocoa, Hojicha tea is very popular with children and the elderly.
Because the powder of this tea is brown and the infusion is orange, it does not look like a typical green tea.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE PUDDING:
- 400 ml coconut, almond or other favorite plant-based milk - chilled (best left in the fridge overnight)
- ¼ scoop clove/agave extract
- ½ tsp Hojicha powder
- ¼ cup chia seeds
FOR SEASONING:
- ground cinnamon
- nuts (almonds, walnuts or other dormant nuts)
PREPARATION:
- Mix chilled coconut milk and clove/agava extract in a blender until smooth. Add HOJICHA powder and CHIA seeds and mix well.
- Put the CHIA pudding in the glasses and leave in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Season with nuts, Hojicha powder or cinnamon.
- Delicious!
