"Green of Japan" green SENCHA tea

Sencha tea (煎茶) is the most popular of all Japanese teas.

Health Benefits of Sencha Tea:

  • helps reduce the amount of free radicals in the body. Free radicals damage the cells of our body and accelerate the aging process of cells. The molecules damage DNA and increase the risk of developing cancer. Antioxidants, which are abundant in green tea, bind to free radicals and neutralize them.
  • helps to lose weight. The caffeine in green tea helps boost your metabolism and help you achieve long-term weight loss goals.
  • helps strengthen immunity. Antioxidants and vitamin C in tea improve the functionality of white blood cells and strengthen the immune system.

  • helps to improve the condition of the teeth and prevent the occurrence of caries. Sencha also helps fight germs in the mouth and thus eliminates bad breath.

 

Catechins help with digestion, which is why Sencha it is recommended to drink 30 min. after a meal. Due to its mild taste, Sencha goes well with food, especially with dishes such as tempura and seafood.

Method of preparation:

  1. Add green tea to the teapot.
  2. Never use freshly boiled water! Pour boiled tea over the tea leaves and cooled to the required temp. with water. Brewing time depends on the type of tea (see below).
  3. Pour the brewed green tea evenly into all the pre-prepared cups, which will preserve the taste and aroma. Never leave tea leaves in water! In warm water, the catechins break down and the proteins increase, which can cause stomach aches and the tea itself will be more bitter.
  4. Since we use the highest quality grade green tea, the same tea herbs may be present boiled three times (increase the draw time by 15 seconds each time)

Amount of water: 90 ml

Water temperature: 70-80 degrees 

Attraction time: 1 min.
